| The Mendota Fire Department is in the process of building a training site using cargo containers. The site will be erected at the southeast side of the Mendota Fairgrounds. The training facility will consist of a training building such as shown above and an auto extrication pad. The containers will be placed in a different manor than shown here in the picture, but have a similar look. We will use 14 cargo container, 8 of which are already in place. The training site will take awhile to finish, but we would like to thank everyone who donated time, money, materials and/or equipment so far to get the project moving.
