Scott Mumm

POC Lt. Scott Mumm, 34 years old, a 13 year veteran of the Mendota Fire Department, died shortly after arrival at Mendota Community Hospital on Monday night at 10:45 p.m.  Scott had returned home around 8:15 p.m. from a fire call where his assignment was assisting with filling water tenders.  He had gone home and  then to bed with intentions of reporting for work at his full-time job at midnight.  When his wife tried to wake him, he did not respond.  ALS efforts by members of the Mendota Fire Department and Mendota Community Hospital were unsuccessful.

Scott is survived by his wife Melissa, two daughters, Morgan 12 and Abby 6; one son, Brett, 7; his parents Alan and Patty and brothers Greg and Nick.
