Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Mendota Fire Department to dedicate itself in protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Mendota and the Mendota-Troy Grove Rural Fire Protection District from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies, or the exposure to dangerous conditions caused by man or nature.  We will accomplish our mission through continuous public education, emergency medical service, rescue service, fire suppression, and extensive training.

The Mendota Fire Department will maintain a staff of well-trained professional emergency responders that are ready to perform these tasks with selfless integrity, honor, pride, and honesty.  We will continue to be a proactive emergency response organization providing safe and efficient service to the citizens and visitors of the City of Mendota and the Mendota-Troy Grove Rural Fire Protection District.
