In an attempt to staff more ambulance
transfers the Mendota Fire Department is hiring EMT-B's, EMT-I's and
Paramedics. The majority of our transfers originate at Mendota
Community Hospital and most of the high acuity patients are transferred
to one of the Rockford hospitals.
If you are interested in becoming a part-time employee of the city of
Mendota and Mendota Fire Department please come in person to Station #1,
located at 610 Main Street. One of the full-time staff will give
you an application packet that needs to be completed. We have made
the process of testing into Rockford Memorial's system as easy as
possible. EMT-Intermediates and Paramedics need a letter of good
standing from their EMS system coordinator. EMT-Basics just need
to complete the application packet.
